Hybrid quantum systems based on collective excitations in solid

Abstract : Development of superconducting quantum circuit technology manifests our ability to control and measure quantum states of the collective excitation modes in a circuit. The approach can be extended to many other collective modes found in solid-state physics, allowing us to access single quanta of those excitations, especially by using superconducting qubits as a tool.
