Understanding magnetic ground states for multiferroics

With the overall goal of understanding the multiferroic mechanism, we investigate the underlying magnetic states for "improper" multiferroic materials through modeling for inelastic neutron scattering data. From a standard isotropic hamiltonian, examing the effects of anisotropy and external fields on these states. Furthermore, we expand to intrinsic symmetry breaking by examing interfacial multiferroics.
