Prerequisites

You will be expected to have a background in the following topics:

Mathematics

Basic knowledge in mathematical analysis and linear algebra is required.

Programming

The course assumes you have a basic knowledge of programming in a language like Fortran, C or C++. You should feel familiar enough in one of these languages to write and execute programs written in them. You should also have a basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux.

Brush-up

It is recommended that you look at these links, and if you feel the need, study the content extensively. The material should give you an overview of what you are expected to know before attending this course. It might be good for everyone to at least check that you still know your UNIX and programming basics!
