A blueprint for detecting supersymmetric dark matter particles in the Galactic halo (20'+5')
 
Based on results from the largest ever simulation of the formation of a galactic
halo, I will discuss the optimal strategy required to detect gamma radiation from 
the
annihilation  of dark matter particles in the halo of the Mily Way.  I will
demonstrate that the strongest signal will come from diffuse emission from the 
halo
of the Milky Way, not from known satellites. I will also discuss the implications 
of
this simulation for direct detection.
