Universal contributions to the entanglement entropy of CFTs

I will review some recent (and some imminent) results on the structure of universal terms in the entanglement entropy (EE) of CFTs (mainly in 2+1 dimensions). My main focus will be on regions with corner singularities, for which I will discuss some general results including their close relation with the stress tensor two-point function, extensions to higher-dimensions, Rényi entropies as well as some open puzzles. Finally, I will present some results for the case in which the spatial dimensions form a torus and the entangling region is a cylinder wrapping one of its cycles.
