Abstract :
Arctic Mars Analog Svalbard Expedition (AMASE)
.
My astrobiology activities are aimed at studying carbonate deposition,
organic synthesis, fossil biomarkers and microbial activity in Mars analog
field sites on Svalbard - combined with testing of strategies- and
instruments under development for future "Search for Life" missions to Mars.
AMASE 06 involved testing of payload instruments onboard NASA's
Mars Science
Laboratory mission
as well as a
robot (CliffBot) and a space suite
