Aspects of Emergence of Gravity and Geometry

Abstract : In this talk, I will give an introduction to analogue gravity as well as to recent ideas to understand geometry as Bose-Einstein condensates of gravitons. Concerning the former, I will elaborate on a model which allows for intrinsic formation of analogue black holes in Bose-Einstein condensates. The latter part focusses on aspects of emergent geometry on the quantum level. Applied to black holes and cosmology, I will show how various known characteristics elegantly emerge, and which novel and distinct features are expected.
