Abstract :
This seminar is some sort of advertisement for the currently running
program at Nordita, "Geometrical Aspects of String Theory". I will
attempt to explain why the interaction between String Theory and
geometry is so fruitful. I will review in simple terms a few examples
of this interaction, such as mirror symmetry, Langlands program and
generalized geometry. NOTE: Seminar starts at 14:15 instead of
the usual time.
